Residency Pathways

Citizenship Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of legal residence in New Zealand
• Must have been physically present in NZ for at least 240 days per year

Processing Time

Residency visas usually take between 3–12 months depending on category. Citizenship applications may take 6–10 months after eligibility is confirmed.
